Energy
Libra Capital is currently advising EuroEnergy, a subsidiary of First Mediterranean Investments, on investments in the emerging renewable energy market in Greece, the Balkans and the wider East Mediterranean region.
These investments are designed to strategically exploit under capacity in the region and include a large scale network of solar energy generating sites with a capacity of 22 MW. Libra Capital is currently involved in the acquisition of further licences that will increase EuroEnergy's grid-connected solar energy capacity.
Many power generation plants are becoming obsolete and wind parks are forecast to play a significant role in the renewal process. We are therefore supporting EuroEnergy in a number of exciting wind energy investment opportunities with a total capacity of approximately 150 MW. Among these, two parks in Northern Greece with a capacity of 50.6 MW have completed their wind measuring studies and have moved to the licensing stage. Wind studies at a third park of 30 MW capacity have also been completed, ready for the next round of licensing.
